Write To Your MP
Why Contact Your MP?
It is often said that writing to your MP is a waste of time. We disagree for one simple reason:
Qui tacet consentire videtur.
He who is silent is taken to agree.
It is not an option to hide from the system. Neither is it an option to try to change the system from within - it is just too corrupt. Nevertheless, our silence is taken as consent, and for as long as we are unwilling to speak out, those in public office who are operating outside the law will continue to do so with impunity.
So it may be true to say that writing to your MP will have little or no effect, but that is only true while we write in ones or twos. But the story changes somewhat when hundreds write, or thousands, or millions, each individually eapressing their personal withdrawal of consent to the systematic destruction of our constitution, law and way of life.
Some people are willing to directly challenge the system in the courts, or by standing in the way of bailiffs. For many this kind of direct action is impossible. But everyone can write to their MP and express their views.
The action of thousands, or millions, begins with the action of one.
Getting Your Point Across
